J.T Snow To Play Final Game and Retire As an S.F Giant
When I woke up this morning and headed on over to the San Francisco Giant's official team website, I read the box score from last night's game and then went back to the main page to look at the standings for the season. It was then on the ticker at the top of the page something flashed and caught my eye.
It read "Snow to Take Field for Retirement Honor". I had no idea what it meant so I went to the article and lo and behold, I read that Giants' fan favorite third baseman J.T Snow was going to come out of retirement (since 2006) to play one final game so he could retire as a member of the San Francisco Giants.
The only thing about this honor that the Giants are giving him is that Snow isn't actual going to play today. According to the team website, Snow will take the field with the rest of the team and before Matt Cain, today's starter, throws his first pitch, snow will be taken out.
Although I would like to see him get an at-bat or two, the gesture alone by the Giants was extremely classy and ...
