Jaguars-Lions: Jacksonville Playoff Hopes Reaffirmed

 
"Yes, we can," Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis said on Sunday, after the Jaguars 38–14 win over the Lions.  Mathis was asked if the Jaguars could reclaim their playoff hopes. Mathis seems to believe that the Jaguars still have a chance and if they can dominate teams in the same manner for the rest of the season, they can take that chance. “There’s a great chance. The best team in football is coming to our home. We haven’t played well at home so far so this would be a good time to do so.” Sunday was a pivotal matchup for the Jaguars and they rose to the occasion.  The Jaguars played the type of football that they are known for.  They let Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew run all over the Lions, while the Jag defense sacked two QBs many times over, forcing an interception, and essentially reintroducing the world to the teal curtain.
