James, Howard help East to halftime lead (AP)

 
LeBron James and Dwight Howard each scored 12 points, and the Eastern Conference led the West 74-65 at halftime of the All-Star game Sunday night. Richard Hamilton had nine points for the East, which was trying to bounce back from an embarrassing 153-132 loss last year in Las Vegas. At least it didn't have to worry about the best player from that game. [link]

The Real MVP

It took a few injuries to finally get Ray Allen onto the Eastern Conference squad. but he proved that he deserved to be there. Ray led all scorers with 28 points… including 14 points over the last 3 and a half minutes, in a 134-128 East win. LeBron James won the MVP award, but the East was on the verge of losing until Ray took over... and Ray was the reason why the East won the game.
