Kris Jenkins made his mark in Buffalo. He received Favre-like coverage this morning in The Buffalo News, which led its sports section with a huge, color photo of the big fella, kneeling over his prey - a flattened Trent Edwards. The headline reads:
“Mound of Trouble.”
Buffalo is a blue-collar town, and it certainly can appreciate a guy who works in the trenches. When was the last time you saw a nose tackle receiving so much pub? He deserves it.
Jenkins, continuing his strong season, absolutely blew up the Bills’ offense in yesterday’s 26-17 win at the Ralph. Barring an injury, he should be a lock for the Pro Bowl, but I’m going to take it one step further: He should be in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year. Why not?
