Jeter hit by pitch on hand, leaves game

 
Derek Jeter left Tuesday's game against the Orioles after getting hit on the left hand with a pitch. The Yankees did not immediately announce the severity of the injury. [link]

Hand job for Jeter

New York Yankees star short stop Derek Jeter took a pretty good beating from a Daniel Cabrera pitch in tonight’s game. The Baltimore Orioles pitcher lost control of a fastball and it hit Jeter full speed right on his hand. Jeter was in obvious pain after the beaning, and was immediately taken out of the game. First course of action was get him to the locker room and under the X-Ray machine.

Tuesday night's game has to be rock bottom. It just has to be. As bad as this team has looked recently - and they've been awful - there is no conceivable way they can play as worse as they played in the series opener against the Baltimore Orioles. It was supposed to be a night of new beginnings. While the weather was awful, Yankees fans saw a ray of hope in Alex Rodriguez .
