Jets' inactives include Nugent, Franks

Funny moment this morning in my Nashville hotel. Four middle-aged women - all wearing Brett Favre Jets jerseys - are walking, single file, across the lobby. Two other middle-aged women, wearing Favre Packers jerseys, are walking directly toward. As the two groups pass each other, one of the Packers ladies says, with a smile, “We had him first.” Week after week, no matter where the Jets play, Favre’s popularity never ceases to amaze. Anyway, let’s get to the game here today at LP Field. The Jets’ inactives: PK Mike Nugent (You can’t sit a red-hot Jay Feely) QB Brett Ratliff (No. 3 QB) WR David Clowney RB Marcus Mason CB Drew Coleman S Eric Smith LB David Harris TE Bubby Franks (a bit of surprise) For the Titans, CB Nick Harper is inactive. He will be replaced by Chris Carr, who will be an inviting target for Favre. As expected, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (groin) is active. The coaches say he’ll play about 40 plays. (link)
