The New York Jets signed free-agent running back Musa Smith on Tuesday. Smith played the last five seasons for Baltimore, where he set career highs last year with 264 yards rushing and 27 catches for 192 yards. The former third-round pick out of Georgia in 2003 has rushed for 496 yards and four touchdowns, and caught 27 passes for 363 yards in a five-year career shortened by injuries.
