Joey Dorsey Expected to Sign with the Houston Rockets on Sunday

 
According to NBA sources, the Houston Rockets are set to add another player to their front court. The Rockets, who have had a stroke of bad luck in the playoffs, are expected to sign power forward Joey Dorsey. Joey Dorsey played at the University of Memphis, where he averaged 6.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game during his collegiate career. Dorsey played for the 07-08 Memphis Tigers, who fell short of being victorious during the NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship due to a game-tying shot by Mario Chalmers, which sent the game into overtime, where the Kansas Jayhawks prevailed. A three-team trade brought Joey Dorsey to the Houston Rockets. It included his friend and fellow Baltimore native Donte Greene, who was traded to the Sacramento Kings in a blockbuster deal for Artest a month after his signing, when league rules allowed the trade to happen.
