It's reported that the "mailman" may consider coming out of retirement to teach current players how to play aggressive defense in a brutal Western Conference filled with big men.
No one actual believes Malone will consider coming out of retirement, no matter the offer. Plus, the season approaches and Malone's physical shape is a question mark.
Would an old and possibly out of shape Malone help the young Utah squad?
He's determination to play rock solid defense every game and the experience he could provide for players yet to peak on the defensive end of the court could help the frustrated Utah squad on their path to a NBA championship.
On the other hand, an old Malone would possibly slow down a fast tempo team run by Olympic gold medalist Deron Williams who prefers to run the ball rather than stop for half court play.
