Kentucky may be considered a rival to Tennessee, but the Wildcats have been the Volunteers' biggest whipping post since 1984. That's because 1984 was the last time Kentucky beat Tennessee.
Tennessee holds a 23-game winning streak over the Wildcats, which is the longest active streak in college football.
Last year Kentucky took the Vols all the way into four overtimes, but they ended up losing 52-50 after Andre Woodson was sacked on a two-point conversion.
Last year's game meant a lot to Tennessee (like the rivalry isn't enough), because a win put them into the SEC championship game.
The game included a late comeback by Kentucky, a goal line stand at the end of regulation by Tennessee, a blocked field goal in overtime by the Vols, and 70,000 disappointed Wildcat fans.
It just seems as if Kentucky is cursed in some cases.
