Kim Couture credits debut loss for Strikeforce: Destruction victory

SAN JOSE, Calif. - A stark contrast from her June debut, Kim Couture (1-1) earned her first professional win in impressive fashion on the undercard of Friday's "Strikeforce: Destruction" event in San Jose, Calif. A broken jaw suffered in the opening seconds of her debut bout against Kim Rose left Couture a bloody mess for three rounds. This time Couture needed less than two minutes to leave her opponent, Lina Kvokov (0-2), in a heap on the mat. "It feels good," Couture said at the event's post-fight press conference. "I actually was prepared for somebody to come after me again. (I was) a little shocked that she wasn't that aggressive." (link)
