According to TSN, Mike Knuble has signed a two-year deal with the Washington Capitals worth $2.8 million per season.
The 6-3, 230 pound forward has played for the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and the Flyers.
Last season with the Flyers, Knuble had 27 goals and 20 assists in 82 games.
This is a very tough loss for the Flyers. Bbviously the deal they were offering wasn't good enough for the 36-year-old winger. He will now join, and help, the league's best player, Alexander Ovechkin.
