Cardinals QB Kurt Warner was so shaken by the savage helmet-to-helmet hit on his WR Anquan Boldin a week ago in the game against the Jets, that he was prepared to retire on the spot.
Apparently, Warner changed his mind about retiring after it turned out that Boldin was not seriously injured. He was released from a New York-area hospital when tests came back negative and he was able to return to his Arizona home.
WARNER WAS GOING TO RETIRE LAST WEEK
Though the scary head injury suffered eight days ago by Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin wasn’t bad enough to knock him out of the game for more than a couple weeks, it almost knocked the man who threw the ball that Boldin was trying to catch out of the league permanently.
Per Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports, quarterback Kurt Warner decided after the Sept. 28 game against the Jets to retire immediately.
