Who would have beleived, 2 years ago, that the Los Angeles Lakers would be good? I mean, his supporting cast is way too bad," but now, they're are arguably the best team in the NBA. After trading a Wal-mart gift card and a Big Mac for Pau Gasol, they are now the team to beat in the West. Don't get me wrong, Kobe is still the star in this team, but Pau Gasol is much more than your average role player. Sasha Vujacic emering as a dominant shooter has also helped tremendously. He went from an "11 o'clock shooter" (someone who shoots good in practice, but struggles in games), to a self-proclaimed, and deserved, "Machine." When the Lakers get Andrew Bynum back from injury, they can only get better. The Spurs, Suns, Mavericks, Hornets, and any other West contender, better watch out. In Conclusion, the Lakers just might be the favorite to win it all this year.
