Lamb, Twins walk off with win over Sox

 
Twins third baseman Mike Lamb hit a two-run single off Red Sox closer Jonathon Papelbon in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Twins a 7-6 walk-off victory over Boston in the series opener on Friday night at the Metrodome. [link]

Mike Lamb’s 2-run single with 2 outs and 2 strikes off of Boston Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon gave the Minnesota Twins a 7-6 walk-off win in front of 25,477 at the Metrodome. With the loss, the Red Sox are now 1-8 in domed stadiums, with the only win coming back on Opening Day against the A’s.
