Lee named AL Pitcher of the Month

Cliff Lee can add American League Pitcher of the Month to this season's resume. Major League Baseball named Lee the recipient of the award, presented by Sharp, for the month of April on Saturday, the first time he has won such an honor in his five-year career.

Arizona Diamondbacks ace Brandon Webb was named the National League's Pitcher of the Month for April. This should come as no surprise, since the right-hander won each of his first six starts of the month and held his ERA to 1.98 with 34 strikeouts over 41 innings.
