Lewis hopes to get running game going

There weren't many highlights for the San Francisco Giants in Friday's 11-1 loss to the Cardinals at Busch Stadium and maybe the only one came from a quiet, but productive, source. Left fielder Fred Lewis had one hit among his three at-bats, extending his hitting streak to eight games, drove in a run, reached base twice among his four plate appearances and registered his first stolen base of the season.

I was listening to the game on my XM Radio (not really product placement for our new advertiser, just the truth) and with the Cards having a 3-0 lead into the eighth, I really thought the sweep was in hand. The Cards had missed some opportunities, sure, but the pitching was rolling and the Cards hadn't blown this big of a lead yet this season.
