Lincecum no factor in NL MVP race

Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum finished 23rd in the National League MVP voting, announced Monday and won by the Cardinals' Albert Pujols. Lincecum, this year's NL Cy Young Award winner, finished behind three other pitchers in the NL MVP voting.

dugoutcentral.com 11/17/2008 — I guess Albert Puljols is glad nobody was listening to him two years ago when he claimed that someone who doesn't lead their team into the playoffs doesn't deserve the MYP. Puljols took home the MVP trophy today although it was Ryan Howard, not him took his team to the playoffs. Sweet irony!
