Little Spain In Liverpool and Little Holland In Real Madrid?

 
It's no secret that being Spanish; Rafael Benitez usually targets talented lads in Spain to fill the holes at Anfield. Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Albert Riera, Alvaro Arbeloa, Miki Roque (on loan to FC Cartagena) and Pepe Reina - that's Rafa's Spanish contingent at Liverpool. It's a strategy that helps players to settle in at foreign club, to settle their nerves, to get adjusted to the language amongst other things, to have one or more of 'their own' and perhaps most importantly it promotes unity in the squad. Even Arsenal could be described as 'Little France' because the Gunners have their fair share of players from France. Samir Nasri, William Gallas, Gael Clichy, Abou Diaby, Bakary Sagna, Mikeal Silvestre, Armand Traore (on loan to Portsmouth) and Francis Coquelin are the French players at the Emirates Stadium but not too long ago Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Patrick Viera, Giles Grimandi, Emmanuel Petit, Sylvain Wiltord, Mathieu Flamini and Pascal Cygan were also part of the ...
