Memphis came out running from the opening tip and didn't stop until halftime, blitzing Michigan State for a 50-20 halftime lead. The Tigers were lead by freshman guard Derrick Rose, who had 12 points and four assists. The story of the half might be Memphis' defense, contesting every shot and holding State to 39 percent shooting. If Sparty has any chance to get back in the game early in the second half, they'll have to contain Memphis in transition.
