Liverpool: Joe Cole Tops Rafael Benitez's Interest
Rafael Benitez, Liverpool head coach, is looking to pounce after Chelsea man Joe Cole that reportedly expressed his annoyance at not being part of Felipe Scolari's first team plans, according to a report.
Neil Ashton of Mail Online reported, "Rafael Benitez has reportedly declared an interest in the England international and Cole wants urgent assurances from new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari that he has a future at Stamford Bridge.
"Joe Cole is demanding assurances over his future from Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari after Liverpool declared an interest in the England midfielder. Cole fears he will be frozen out of the starting XI when the Barclays Premier League season starts against Portsmouth on Sunday and he has also been spooked by the potential arrival of Robinho."
