Daric Barton, Jack Hannahan and Emil Brown homered for the A's on Monday, and big Frank Thomas fell -- of all things -- a home run short of hitting for the cycle. It all added up to a 14-2 Oakland drubbing in the first meeting of the year between the surprising A's and the host Angels.
