Los Angeles Lakers Still Trying To Be Better Than The '96 Chicago Bulls

 
The Lakers are better than the ‘96 Bulls. Beating the Bucks last night 105-92, the Lakers are off to their best start in franchise history. And more importantly, right on pace to beat the Bulls record of 72 wins. Remember, all they have to do is win seven of eight games for the rest of the season. We told you way back when, when we did the head-to-head team comparison of the ‘96 Bulls and the ‘08 Lakers , that the team was nice. Now that they are 17-2, with already a quarter of the season over, everyone is starting to believe. While we over here saying, I told you so with an exclamation point! They have the best player in the league and the most energetic bench mob in the league. There are about 10 guys on the team that can give you 20 plus any night of the week. But, hold up. The Celtics, the beast of the east, are over there at 20-2. As if the RayBan’s and tight jean phenomenon weren’t enough to prove that the 80’s are back—here we have the most ... (link)
