Looking decidedly like the Triple-A Portland Beavers, the San Diego Padres came up with a nifty big league result Tuesday night, beating the Florida Marlins 10-1 to snap a nine-game home losing streak.

The influx of Portland Beavers playing in San Diego continued Tuesday as 3 players are up in part of a 6 player shuffle. The new Padres include outfielder Chip Ambres, first baseman Brian Myrow and Bud Black's favorite lefty, Joe Thatcher. To make room for the new faces San Diego has optioned Paul McAnulty and reliever Carlos Guevara and place Brett Tomko on the DL with an elbow issue. The ...Anthony Ferrara
