Will the LSU Tigers get upset by Appalachian State on Aug. 30? Not if they can help it.
The team began game preparations with a two-hour-plus practice at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility. During the early portion of practice, it rained but cleared up after about 20 minutes. The Tigers remained outside the entire time.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Jarrett Lee sat out the practice.
The Tigers are hoping to prevent another big upset by Appalachian State after the Mountaineers upset Michigan in September of 2007, 34-32, in one of the biggest upsets in college football ever. The Tigers don't want to be knocked off their pedestal after winning the National Championship last year, and they aren't planning to be.
Even though the Tigers lost many of their most recognized players to the NFL (quarterback Matt Flynn, running back Jacob Hester, defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, and others) they are still looking forward to having a good season.
