Mark Ingram: Heisman Hopeful

Alabama has never had a Heisman winner, ever. This could be changed by a talent at running back who's name is Mark Ingram. His stardom is one of many college football shockers thus far this season. Mark Ingram has had a tremendous year thus far, exceeding all expectations. His status in the Heisman race may be even more than even I expected. Is he the best running back in Alabama history? Maybe. Put him up against Bo Jackson or Adrian Peterson, and does he win? No, but it may just be closer than the experts think. Now, Ingram is not the fastest, nor the best at shaking off defenders, but that doesn't matter to him. He has strength, and the ability to break tackles. He doesn't need to juke somebody; he'll just run right through them. His speed, again, doesn't kill. But if he gets out in the open field, with only one man to beat, he will more than likely beat that one man. His strength is amazing.
