The Rangers' two wins in Prague over the revamped Lightning can be credited to the solid play of veteran Markus Naslund. Naslund scored a goal in the first game and added an assist in the second game, as the Rangers went 2-0 in Prague.
Naslund is definitely not the player he once was, but he is still a very good playmaker, who will help the Rangers establish four solid attacking lines. The 35-year-old veteran had an off year with Vancouver, as he tallied 55 points, but this was for a Vancouver team that did not score many goals and relied on goaltender Roberto Luongo.
This is not the case for the New York Rangers, as players like Scott Gomez, Chris Drury, and Brandon Dubinsky are more than capable scorers. Naslund, being used as a complementary player, will really give a boost to an already superb Rangers' offense.
The addition of Naslund seems to also have added more leadership to New York, as he has been able to work his magic on the Rangers' power play, setting up point shots and golden ...
