Marlins option McPherson to Triple-A

Hampered first by an oblique issue and then a groin problem and with Opening Day six days away, the Marlins decided to option 27-year-old Dallas McPherson to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Cameron Maybin will start the season in the minors for the Florida Marlins. Jorge Cantu—of Devil Ray fame—looks to be a lock for the hot corner job.
