Gordon Wittenmyer: Love him, hate him, wish he were traded (or worse, to read some blogs and e-mails), Cubs pitcher Jason Marquis is certainly a survivor. Left off the St. Louis Cardinals' postseason roster during their championship run in 2006, he bounced back to get a three-year, $21 million contract from the overhauling Cubs.
