The Buffalo Sabres slide has now reached four straight games and they have now been outscored 21-7.
Biron had to literally stand on his head to make the saves and had to rely on the crossbar/post for several others.
The Sabres did not play a bad game especially when you look at the shots which were in Buffalo's favor, 40-24.
However, a new trend emerged as I watched the game. The inability to be able to put the puck in the net and hitting everything but the twine: players, posts, crossbars, etc. Stafford missed a wide open net from a beautiful pass from Derek Roy and managed to hit the back of a sprawling Biron.
The game though was very close as it was a seesaw battle. However, two bad breaks for the Sabres ended up costing them the game.
After a 5-on-3 where they hit several posts including the crossbar, the Flyers managed to pick up the puck as the penalty expired and hit a streaking Hartnell for a breakaway.
