Martinez returns to catching for Tribe

Fortunately for the Tribe, after a few days of stiffness that rendered Victor Martinez barely able to turn his head, the neck wasn't affecting the catcher enough Friday to keep him out of the Indians' lineup for a second straight day.

Only 48 hours after the Cleveland Indians designated Jason Michaels and his negative batting average for assignment, the Associated Press reports that the Tribe has traded Michaels and some cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates for the ever-coveted “player to be named later.”Back to College Friday
