Memo to Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson - What Gives?

 
The Dallas Mavericks took a while to make it happen but finally decided to get a mitt and get in the game so to speak and make a late season trade for their former player point guard Jason Kidd. In my opinion the trade didn’t make the Mavericks better or place them on the same plane as the elite teams out west it made them older. Apparently the Mavericks front office felt that All-star Jason Kidd although older could be a better leader, make better decisions and run the team far superior to Devin Harris.   This may be true but I also feel that Devin Harris is a talented young player who is still developing. The much reported trade obviously a reactionary move to remain competitive fueled by the recent trades made by the other elite teams in the very tough NBA Western Conference.  Five games into the trade and playing for their playoff lives in the Western conference where every game is important and a two or three game losing streak could mean the difference between having home ...
