Shawne Merriman should be making a decision about his 2008 season soon. The San Diego Chargers linebacker was in Miami in recent days to see one final specialist for an opinion about the ligament damage in his knee. The University of Maryland product has said he has torn posterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments in the knee and has been told by other doctors to undergo surgery.
