Since it may only last for a few hours, until the Phillies play the Padres tonight, here’s something to note:
The Mets are in a three-way tie for first place with Philly and the Marlins, who lost today to the Dodgers. Actually, the Mets are percentage points ahead of those teams:
Mets 14-12 .538
Florida 15-13 .536
Philadelphia 15-13 .536
What does that mean? Well, not much if we see a duplication of Wednesday’s game tomorrow in Arizona. But it is a little perspective.
