Fernando Martinez’s learning process in the minors recently included what to avoid on a restaurant menu. After a victory with Double-A Binghamton, the 19-year-old outfield prospect ordered lobster at dinner with teammate Ambiorix Concepcion . Martinez found out the hard way that he’s allergic to that seafood and ended up in the hospital. A teammate suggested Martinez became so swollen he resembled Will Smith’s character in the movie Hitch, which the player noted would have been humorous if the reaction hadn’t affected Martinez’s breathing. “That’s my first time and my last time,” Martinez recalled. “An hour and a half later, I said, ‘Wow, I don’t feel good.’ My body was hot. I called the trainer Joe Golia and said, ‘Joe, I have a big problem.
