Here’s the postgame recap from Great American Ball Park, where the Mets lost to the Reds, 7-2: • After sitting on a plane at JFK Airport for two and a half hours, Pedro Martinez tossed a light session off the bullpen mound during the game. Martinez said he felt okay, but needed more time to fully determine if the groin difficulty that prompted a cortisone injection was behind him. Jerry Manuel committed after the game to a rotation of Johan Santana, John Maine and Oliver Perez against the Phillies. Look for Martinez to slot in Friday or Saturday against St. Louis, with Mike Pelfrey working the other day. • Not great situational hitting by the Mets, despite 10 hits. They left runners on third base in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. With the bases loaded and one out in the final of those threats, Mike Lincoln struck out David Wright looking with a full-count curveball, then got Carlos Beltran looking at a sinker at the knees.
