Michael Owen to Join Manchester United

In yet even more news in this summer's transfer window for Manchester United, according to the Times Online , former Newcastle striker Michael Owen will join the Red Devils on July 3rd, pending him passing a medical exam. This is an extremely shocking move for Owen, who became a free agent after Newcastle was relegated to the Championship division during the last game of this year's Premier League season, and got very little interest from any Premier League clubs. In joining United, Owen will have a massive drop from his old salary at Newcastle, which was worth £120,000 a week. He previously recieved an offer from Everton which was equal to about £50,000 a week.
