Mike Bellotti To Step Down (or Up) at Oregon
It was announced this afternoon that Mike Bellotti will relinquish his duties as head football coach at the University of Oregon.
Bellotti will move into the Athletic Director position and current offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will assume the head coaching position.
The timing of the coaching change was unclear at the time of this writing, but opinions seemed to indicate Bellotti will stay on as coach at least through the current season.
Comments to this point from Duck supporters are generally positive.
Bellotti's record with Oregon is 115-55.

Update: In a tele-conference interview, Bellotti gave no date for the transfer of power, saying he would coach the team through their bowl game (his 12th in 14 years) and continue to recruit.
In this somewhat anti-climatic announcement, Kelly now becomes yet another "coach-in-waiting".
