Baseball's expanding international reach, combined with the premium on young arms at the major league level, has resulted in the most talked about Japanese prospect since Daisuke Matsuzaka was at the middle of a bidding war between the Yankees and the Red Sox two years ago. Junichi Tazawa, a 22-year old right-hander from the Japanese industrial leagues, can not match Matsuzaka's level of talent or hype, but he has been sought after by several major league teams this winter, including Dice-K's Red Sox.
