Twenty-three-year-old Sessions enjoyed a breakout '08-'09 season starting in 39 of his 79 games played, averaging a career high 12.4 PPG, along with 5.7 APG, 3.4 RPG, and 1.0 SPG.
Sessions clearly proved to the Bucks this past season that he had the talent and determination to emerge as one of the top notch elite point-guards in the league today.
Now, rewind back to about a week ago.
The Bucks just traded away small-forward Richard Jefferson to the San Antonio Spurs for veteran Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and Fabricio Oberto. (Oberto was then traded to the Pistons for Amir Johnson.)
With the trade completed, most Bucks fans rhetorically believed that this move was made in order to re-sign power-forward Charlie Villanueva.
Furthermore, after Milwaukee selected overseas point-guard Brandon Jennings with the 10th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, all signs pointed to the two-year point guard Ramon Sessions to get the boot.
