Milwaukee Bucks Trade Richard Jefferson To San Antonio Spurs

Richard Jefferson, who landed with the Milwaukee Bucks after ending his successful stint with the New Jersey Nets the previous season, is now reportedly traded to the San Antonio Spurs in a four-player deal. The deal would be Richard Jefferson for Fabricio Oberto, Kurt Thomas, and defensive specialist Bruce Bowen. The move comes in a critical juncture for the Spurs. They were knocked out by the Dallas Mavericks in the first-round of the playoffs while Manu Ginobli was nursing a foot injury. The move benefits both teams in the long-term, but in particular the Bucks who will experience cap reflief in the 2011-2012 season. Regarding the Spurs, Jefferson is yet another addition to the already championship core that consists of future Hall-of-Famer Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Ginobli.
