Mobley retires due to worsening heart condition
New York Knicks guard Cuttino Mobley is retiring from the NBA because of a heart disease that he says has gotten worse.
Mobley announced his decision at a press conference Thursday at the Knicks' training center. He confirmed he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and said he had no choice but to end his career.
The Knicks acquired the 11-year veteran last month from the Los Angeles Clippers.
