Mount Vernon's Mitchell postpones transfer pick

 
Mount Vernon forward Jonathan Mitchell, a former state Mr. Basketball, was all set to announce his transfer decision today, but according to his uncle, Herb Mitchell, the Florida forward is now waiting until Monday. The decision has already been made, but sources say Mitchell wants to sleep on it over the weekend. As Herb has said before, this is Jonathan’s final chance. He spent two seasons at Florida but never got the playing time - or found a role - he deserved. Mitchell is choosing from Rutgers, Seton Hall and Marshall, the newest school in the mix - and that may have something to do with the delay. Indiana decommit Devin Ebanks, who can play the same positions as Mitchell, has Rutgers on his list, which has led to speculation that Mitchell may be waiting to see where Ebanks lands. Ebanks reportedly will announce his college choice after his graduation from the St. Thomas More School (Conn.) on Sunday, although his mother Yvonne Jackson told the Daily News that’s not ...
