For the past three years or so all you would hear during the off-season is when will Brett Favre retire? He announced prematurely on March 6th that he would retire from the NFL and that shot Aaron Rodgers into the starting role of QB in Green Bay.
When Brett Favre announced he would come out of retirement all the Packers fans said " Hallelujah", but the Packers organization for some idiotic reason said that they would not give Favre the starting job. So he gets traded to the New York Jets, could there be a Jets/Packers Super Bowl this year? The answer is simple, No!
History has shown that when a Hall of Fame QB leaves his back up will struggle terribly. The only exception would be Steve Young, but the only reason that the 49ers got rid of Montana was because Young had proved himself before. All during training camp all the Packers could hear was "Bring back Brett". The very first time that Aaron Rodgers has a bad game he will be butchered by the Green Bay media and the Packers fans.
