My fearless predictions for the 2008 Yankee season

 
Before March is over for good, we just would like to note that this month marks the second anniversary of Jon and I writing Subway Squawkers. Thanks, readers, for all of your support. As we start this third season of squawking, 2008 has been a very different year for me so far than the first two. Why do I say that? Because I’m used to griping about managerial decisions and the direction of the team, and I’ve got very little on those fronts to compalint about so far. Joe Girardi has been terrific this spring. The players showed up in shape, ready to play, and motivated. I can’t ask for anything more. Are there question marks with the Yankees? Of course, but I am still very optimistic about this team, and it’s the most positive I’ve felt in years about the direction of the Yanks. And my third annual predictions list will reflect that.
