I was thinking about the NBA and pondering some questions in my head. I am curious about what you think, so please comment and respond with your opinion. Question: Which superstar would you rather build your team around RIGHT NOW (next 3 or 4 years): Kobe Bryant or LeBron James? My Pick: Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant is the most clutch player in the NBA. He has plenty of playoff experience, and he simply gets the job done. Kobe has a huge will to win, and will win regardless of what his teammates do. Kobe is more polished. LeBron may have a higher vertical leap and 40-yard dash, but he is raw. Kobe understands situations better, and doesn't take horrible shots or force the ball. Kobe is more level headed and always remains calm. Question: Which young star player would you start your franchise with (long term, whole career): Dwight Howard or Chris Paul? My Pick: Dwight Howard . He is so athletic and has a freakish body. He can run, jump, and is the total package. Once his ...

Performance enhancing Lakers
mvn.com 2/21/2008 — After taking out Shaq and the Phoenix Suns last night (130-124), behind Kobe’s 41 points, are the Lakers the team to beat in the Western Conference? They have been playing so well, I thought they might have to testify in front of congress to justify their success. I hope Arlen Specter isn’t watching the Lakers as he might want to investigate them and I heard recently that George Mitchell is ...
All Star Weekend Amendments
bizofbasketball.com 2/21/2008 — The All Star game festivities happened just over a week ago, and the hype was much less than the bite as Friday and Saturday night did not live up to the month’s worth of commercials once again. Once again there was not much walk to back up the talk. Every year the Rookie Challenge gets less interesting, the dunk contest becomes more about flash and less about actual dunks, and the ...

sports.espn.go.com 2/21/2008 — The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have beaten the NBA's annual trade buzzer to get LeBron James some of the fresh help he's been openly craving.
In a three-way trade with Chicago and Seattle that has been submitted for league approval, NBA front-office sources say that Cleveland will come away with four new teammates for James, headlined by Ben Wallace from the Bulls and sharpshooter Wally ...

Line of the Night: Chris Paul (5.62) must have said to himself something along the following lines: If Marcus Camby can get 9 blocks in a game, I sure as Hail can get 9 steals. And so he did. And in the process he made Jason Kidd look like a Jetlagged Old Man. I didn’t actually see the game, but I can only assume that it looked like sort of like this:
