NCAA Basketball Top 10 Power Rankings (Jan. 6, 2009)
Craig has not released his NCAA power rankings yet this year as he likes to wait until after the bowl season is finished before he changes focus to college basketball. This season has seen the usual suspects near the top of the rankings.
There have been some big upsets knocking off some huge favorites. If you are new to reading Craig's power rankings, this is one of Craig's tools he uses in handicapping sports contests and picking winners against the spread.
Always keep in mind this is just one of the many tools he uses, so use wisely to help with your own winners.
1. North Carolina - Unlike the polls, Craig does not over react to one loss. They are still the best team and it is not close! Deepest team we have seen in recent years.
2. Pittsburgh - The last five years have seen a power house develop at Pitt. Coach Jamie Dixon might have his best team yet. Point guard Fields is not the best player but is the best leader in the country.
