Nebraska-Kansas State: Huskers Slam Wildcats 55-28
Joe Ganz has been named Big 12 player of the week, and Nebraska picked up its seventh win of the season following a 55-28 drubbing of Kansas State in Manhattan. Ganz rushed for a career-high 95 yards and threw for 270 more as he joined Zac Taylor as the only Husker to pass for 3,000 yards in a season.
On the ground, Heu led the way with 72 yards, while Marcus Mendoza had 58, Lucky 47, and Castillo 51. All totaled, the Huskers rushed for a season-high 340 yards on the day.
Now with just a hapless Colorado team coming to town a week from Friday, we have a shot at an eight-win season. A lot better than 5-7, wouldn't you say?
Not only that, we also have a real shot at a pretty good bowl game, considering we travel well. The Holiday Bowl or the Peach Bowl isn't out of the question. It is also a possibility that we will face Bo's old team LSU.
It all hinges on rather or not we win next Friday's game. A loss could put us in the Alamo Bowl, possibly against Ohio ...
