The Nets play the Hawks tonight at the Meadowlands and then again tomorrow in Atlanta. The Hawks might be a bit cranky after losing their first game of the season two nights ago in Boston. It was a last-second loss, no less.
Anyway, Josh Boone and most likely Eduardo Najera will be out tonight. Devin Harris will be back in.
Boone hurt his ankle on Wednesday and Najera has a sprained neck and lower back pain after falling in practice yesterday. So, Ryan Anderson and Sean Williams will get playing time up front. Both had been mostly outside of the rotation recently.
This is a great opportunity for both to make their marks and stick in the rotation. Lawrence Frank has been saying all season that players will get opportunities for playing time and that the best thing to do is make the most of it. This is their chance.
For Williams, it could also be a chance to showcase himself to other teams. The Nets are rumored to be shopping him around and it’s hard getting noticed while sitting on ...
