Admit it.
As an Islanders' fan right now, you must be ecstatic. When was the last time this team won four games in a row? Even more than that, when was the last time you had confidence in this team to win games?
Last season it was always a hope, but that hope usually faded by the third period. That trend carried over into the beginning of the season, but since the New York Islanders defeated the rival Rangers 3-1 one week ago, they have looked like a better team.
The Islanders have scored 15 goals in the past week, while only giving up five. But not only that, they are getting production from a whole host of players.
First off, the real surprise of the season has been the play of winger Matt Moulson. He has six goals and five assists for 11 points in the season, and although he has only a goal and an assist in his last four games, teams must watch out for the speedy Canadian born man.
